IMMERSION are a Melbourne-based four piece original alternative rock band.

IMMERSION
started life in Perth, WA as
'Aurakil'. After 2 years of gigging in and around Perth and the
release of their debut EP to excellent response and reviews in the western
capital, Aurakil made the move to Melbourne.
With the move came a name change - with so many punters reading way too much meaning into the name Aurakil (it doesn't mean shit folks) the band decided to rename themselves after their EP - so 'IMMERSION' was born.
IMMERSION have been cranking out their sounds and making a name for themselves with a number of shows in and around Melbourne. A growing fan base and increasing interest from music industry types shows that they are serious contenders in Australia's 'rock 'n roll' capital.
In mid-07 a major line-up change - with Sharne taking a break Sarah Q has stepped in to the vocals roll and kicking some serious butt fronting the IMMERSION machine.
IMMERSION have just released their new EP 'Down the line' and the response has been awesome. IMMERSION will be showcasing their sounds with shows lined up at Melbourne's premier live rock venues over the next few months.
